DESCRIPTION AND USE

Trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) is a stabilized chlorine donor used as a

disinfectant and biocide in water treatment. TCCA is a fast acting but slow
dissolves disinfectant. Our Sunchlor TCCA available chlorine is 90% min.
After hydrolysis in water, TCCA will be converted to hypochlorous acid (HOCL),
which has strong microbial activity. The hydrolysis by-product, cyanuric acid, acts
as a stabilizer and prevents conversion of hypo-chlorous acid into hypochlorite
ion (OCL-) owing to sunshine and heat, which has low microbial activity
