points)
1. How is globalization affecting education?
The potential effects of globalization on education are many and far-reaching, due to its scale
and nature. Because the main bases of globalization are knowledge intensive information and
innovation, globalization should have a profound impact on education. Almost everywhere in the one
world, educational systems are now under pressure to produce individuals for global competition,
individuals who can themselves compete for their own positions in the global context, and who can
legitimate the state and strengthen its global competitiveness.

2. Give 10 each: Positive and Negative impacts of globalization on education

3. Name and Discuss: The Importance of Globalization in Higher Education

So in today’s world, globalization is an important concept for students in higher education to
understand and appreciate because of the demand in business and industry to hire people who can
work with people of other nations and cultures and if need be can travel independently internationally
to promote their business or industry.

4. Reflection: What does globalization have to do with me?

It gives people more access to an even broader set of products and services with laws and
regulations that encourage greater unencumbered trade between nations, more products from
diverse. It leads to a decrease or abolishing of subsidies and tariffs this helps promote a more level
playing field between nations and businesses. It leads to new opportunities for financing more
companies have access to a broader base of worldwide financial markets and capital from other
countries.

5. Analysis: Where is globalization likely to take us in the next 50 years?

Predicting the future is tricky business. It’s hard enough to anticipate what you’ll be doing next
week, let alone a year from now. And while attempting to project decades into the future is damn-near
impossible, plenty of people attempt to do so on the regular regardless. They’re called futurists, and it’s
their job to predict what the world will look like in hundreds of years from now and beyond.
