Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan

Grade 3 Subject: ARTS

Topic: Discuss the importance of seas and ocean integrating in ARTS,

Accommodations
1. Setting, Safety and Security- Teachers must first create a safe, secure learning environment before beginning any

activities that deal with potentially sensitive subjects. This will give children the confidence to freely share their ideas,

values, and attitudes.

2. Snacks - Students, even those who eat breakfast, feel hungry and thus, lose concentration, therefore an appropriate

snack at this time can promote their concentration and learning.

Materials Needed: Learning Objectives:


• Explore moods and feelings in performance-based activities.
• Speakers (Music and Dance) • Identify the different parts of kinds of colors in art.

• State the importance of saving the seas and ocean through art.
• Oslo papers, Crayons, Pens,
• Create a dance work alone and with peers and incorporate a movement

Pencils, Erasers (Arts) with music.

• Perform expressive movement to music.

Structure / Activity:

Introduction:
• Prior to the starting of the activity the teacher will select a prayer leader.

• After the prayer, the teacher will introduce himself to the students.

• Afterwards, the teacher and student are friends already.

• The teacher will introduce a topic about the seas & ocean and how to maintain the cleanliness on it.

Music and Dance Activities


·The students and the teacher will do a warmup.
·Afterwards, the students are engaged in a music and dance activities.
·The teacher will integrate the dalcroze method of dance and music where students are engaged in singing and movement in a Baby Shark Dance

song.

Art Activities
·The students are given Oslo papers, Crayons, Pens, Pencils, Erasers for the open-ended art activity where students are to draw a simple poster that

describes saving the seas and ocean.

Ending:
·After the activities the teacher and students will say goodbye and afterwards, they will be given a snacks as a reward for participating the activity.

Lesson Focus and Goals:


The goals of the aesthetic domain in the curriculum framework are to help young children enjoy the aesthetic

experience and artistic creation, and develop rich imagination, and respond to feelings and preferences for

artistic creation of young children. The aesthetic domain includes the development of "exploration and

awareness", "performance and creation", and "response and appreciation"; the learning aspect of the

aesthetic domain is divided into two parts: "affection" and "artistic media". If preschool teachers open their

eyes and ears, they can guide young children to share in the beauty and joy of life.
