Resolution No. 2021-31

A RESOLUTION PRESCRIBING THE USE OF A STANDARD

REFLECTORIZED VEST FOR BJMP TRAFFIC MARSHALS

WHEREAS, the BJMP Uniform and Standards Committee (USC), herein

referred to as the Committee was reconstituted pursuant to Letter Orders No.
2021-087 dated 3 September 2021;

WHEREAS, personnel assigned to control the flow of traffic (traffic

marshals) in front of national, regional, provincial offices, jail units or even in
venues of activities whose locations are along highways or main thoroughfares
are exposed to certain hazards, e.g. vehicular accident;

WHEREAS, there is a need to provide for a standard reflectorized vest to

ensure visibility both during daytime and nighttime of traffic marshals for their
safety in controlling the flow of vehicles;

WHEREAS, on November 24, 2021, the Committee convened via video

conferencing to deliberate the above-stated concern and other matters regarding
BJMP uniforms and standards;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion presented by JCSUPT RINCO T

MONTAUS duly seconded by JINSP ILDEFONSO B FRANCO, the Committee
RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED to allow the use of a standard
reflectorized vest which will enhance the visibility of traffic marshals both in
daytime and nighttime to ensure their safety while performing their duties. Said
vest shall have the following specifications:

RESOLVED FURTHER, that a handheld STOP and GO sign paddle (see

succeeding specifications) shall also be used to complement the reflectorized
vest.
