A. Master Data

1. Business Partner (ERP: Customer Master)

Section “Sales and Distribution”

Tab “Orders”

Sales District: A geographical sales region applied to pricing conditions, sales statistics, and
other selection criteria. Value proposed by the sold-to party.

Customer Group identifies a group of customers (e.g. wholesale or retail) for the purpose of
pricing or generating statistics. Taken from sold-to party.

Sales Office/Sales Group: Sales office represents a physical location (e.g., a branch office)
that has responsibility for the sale of certain products within a given geographical area. Used
for sales statistics. Within a sales office you can establish sales groups (e.g., departments).

Price Group: A grouping of customers sharing same pricing requirements. E.g. group of
customers to whom you want to give the same kind of discount.

Tab “Partner Functions” Partner functions. Used, e.g. to address output data
2. Material Master Record

Data relevant for core S/4Hana Sales are mainly maintained in the following highlighted sections:

Section “Sales Org. Data 2” Pricing Reference Material is a master record that the system uses as
a reference for pricing purposes. The conditions that apply to the
pricing reference material also apply to the material in whose material
master record the pricing reference material is stored.

Material price group provides a way of grouping materials to which we


want to apply the same condition.

Item category groups are used to determine item categories during


the processing of sales documents.
