Dear Mr. and Mrs.________,

My name is Angelia Duncan, a special education intern from Geneva College working with Mrs.
________ at _________ High School for the past few months. After receiving your approval to work with
your daughter,_____, on her reading skills. I am pleased to say what a delight it has been to work with
her. She excitedly participated in the reading lessons and had such a positive attitude towards learning.

______ has made great progress over the last few months. We have been working on her overall
reading skills while focusing on new vocabulary words, reading fluency, and creative writing. _____ has
worked very hard, and her efforts have definitely been successful. While no one has perfect fluency or
reading skills, I think ______ has made great steps toward mastery of these skills. She appeared to enjoy
all the lessons I planned for her and to have increased her motivation to read, which is one of her
greatest strengths. I truly believe her motivation to become a better reader will pay off for her!

Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to work with _____. She has been a huge blessing to
work with and I will always remember _____ and her excitement as we worked together.
