itself everywhere,in almost every fact of life-in nature all around us, and in the technologies in our

3. In our course mathematics provides methods for organizing and structuring knowledge so that, when
applied to technology, it allows scientists and engineers to produce systematic, reproducible, and
transmittable knowledge. Every aspect of information and data is related to mathematics in one way or
the other. Additionally, problems in information technology can be solved using mathematical models
which are very efficient compared to others approaches.
