Gore Meadows Community Centre offers and delivers a
range of amenities and recreational programs for all
members of the community to use and take part in.
They offer regular programs from a range of categories such as arts,
fitness, education, and more, as well as special events occasionally.
In addition to the main community centre, Gore Meadows also has a
library with a range of features of its own such as a study space,
Chromebook lending, a collection of media and books, and more.

The youth night
targets children aged
6-15, andit offers a
safe space for children
to interact with one
another. They offer
activities like sports,
dance, and board
games for the children
to participate in, and
the program runs every

The sports programs
targets children aged
2-18 and teaches them
the fundamentals of
many sports in order to
help with their physical
development. Offered
sports include
basketball, soccer,
swimming, badminton,
table tennis, and more

The preschool program
targets children aged
3-6 and offers an
inexpensive transition
to kindergarten with
experienced
instructors. The
instructors work on
developing the
children's social,
cognitive, and motor
skills through weekly
themes that include
arts, crafts, and songs.

Funding
Although sources were limited, it seems that
funding for the building and the administrative
needs of the organization is from the government,
donations, and grants, however, individual
programs are also funded by their fees.
Education
Gore Meadows and their programs and services work on
the education social determinant. This can be seen as
they offer a lot of educational services with instructors
to help youth and other members of the community
improve on a range of skills. For example, they offer
music classes and have a library with a variety of
educational tools and services. (City of Brampton, n.d.)

Gore Meadows also works on the early childhood
development social determinant. This can be seen
through the many programs they host for children to
help them develop their skills. For example, they have
a full-year preschool program as well as many sports
