PROJECT SCOPE

COMPANY NAME: LINCON GROUP OF CONSTRUCTIONS

The project is to build a two-storey detached Single house where there is an existing building as
the budget of the owner is limited and cannot be made any exceptions on that the project must and
should be constructed in given time of 8 months the main constraint is budget, so we are planning the
project in a way that it is low cost and effective.

The site is a residential area and according to the zoning requirements of the area only 30% from
the lot area is permitted to be used as construction area, all the zoning requirements and demolition
permits will be acquired before the beginning of the construction and all the safety requirements are
followed during the construction.

Scope management plan includes the following.

➢ Plan scope management.


➢ Collect requirements.
➢ Create WBS.
➢ Verify scope statement.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

The project manager and client play the major role in our project as it DB delivery system and all the
team members are aware of the activities going on the site the following roles and responsibilities
defines each member activity.

REQUIREMENT MANAGEMENT PLAN

Requirement management arrange is employed during a project to stay the project trailing or updated
with all the necessities that are required by the owner and also the stakeholders. These are the
requirements that are to be the gift within the project. demand management arranges includes within
the analyzing, collecting, managing and dominant the necessities of the project.

In our project, our needs are classified as project needs and products needs. Of them Project needs
employee business, project management and delivery needs. Product needs includes technical and non-
technical, performance needs, security and material need etc.

Requirement management plan can be consisting of the following sections in detail:

➢ Identification: identifying and compiling all the project requirements of the stakeholders by
brainstorming, SWOT analysis.
➢ Analysis: each identified element should be investigated up to its root for its cause and this
should be done with project team.
➢ Prioritize: identified requirements will be prioritized according to the choice of client as of this
project budget is the first priority.
➢ Manage and control: we got the list of requirements for this project in a prioritized order in
order to track these we mostly use traceability matrix.

INITIATING CHANGE:

In this state of affairs, there's a desire of handling the changes within the project. Al the stakeholders
should agree to the changes to be created to any of the scope, quality, schedule, and budget. The
changes in style and plans shouldn't have an effect on the triple constraints of the project.

TRACEABILITY MATRIX:

The requirement traceability matrix is employed for tracing however, the wants meet the deliverables of
the project. demand management set up should embody a traceability matrix to form certain that
everyone the specifications and options satisfy the wants as per the set up of the project.

TOOLS USED FOR COLLECTING REQUIREMENTS

1. INTERVIEWING: For gathering ideas and requirements in design and what needs to be
completed for the project, the stakeholders are interviewed by the project manager. The
project manager prepares a note of all project requirements. This process is done by phone
calls, emails and meetings.
2. FOCUS GROUP: The project manager creates a list of stakeholder’s involvement with their
interest. The entire requirement is taken into consideration and a list is made with the priority
based on the requirements.
3. FACILITATED WORKSHOP: The project team and stakeholders are gathered to check the plan,
design and drawing if any changes is made in them , all members will share their ideas with own
prospective. This process is made where the need to be change in budget, scope, quality and
schedule.
4. BRAIN STORMING: The project manager and the stakeholders are held a meeting and they will
be look for new technique and ideas or process that will be used and implemented and any of
the new material and product which can be used for construction and this will be helpful for
identifying new requirements.
5. DELPHI TECHNIQUE: The individual request will be send to all stakeholders by the project
manager regarding their requirements. The stakeholders check out their requirements from the
list and send back to the project manager individually. The project manager gathers all their
requirements and assigned them in order and do not make any changes to owner requirements.
6. DOCUMENT ANALYSIS: With the help of previous construction documents a requirement list is
made for the construction which is helpful for project proposal, agreements, and generating
business plan which are the sources for preparing latest ideas and requirement based analysing
technique and previous documents.

PROJECT SCOPE STATEMENT:

SCOPE VERIFICATION

The clients interest is the main priority in our project so all the design requirements and planning should
be done according to the requirement of the sponsor/client without ignoring the zoning codes and
requirements.

The project manager then finalizes the scope of the project and then the stake holders verify the
project scope and approve the project to the next level that is documentation and approval process.

SCOPE CONTROL

Scope control is the final process in the plan scope management in this process the team members who
are present on the site play a major role in this process as the plans are finalized the building process

should be done according to the approved plans and no changes should be made before informing to
the stake holders. This section of the scope management plan also details the change process for
making changes to the scope baseline.

SCOPE BASELINE

Scope baseline is the part of the project management plan and acts as the reference point through the
project life. It has several components. These include project scope document, the WBS itself and the
WBS dictionary.

The base plan where all the project progress, it includes all the documents during the approval stage and
planning stage.

SCOPE STATEMENT:

Existing building should be demolished clear the site according to the client’s
preference a new plan will be made and the contract will also be done by the
