PROJECT A clear start and end date: There are projects that last several years but a project cannot go on forever. It
CHARACTERISTICS needs to have a clear beginning, a definite end, and an overview of what happens in between.
A project creates something new: Every project is unique, producing something that did not previously
exist. A project is a one-time, once-off activity, never to be repeated exactly the same way again.
A project has boundaries: A project operates within certain constraints of time, money, quality, and
functionality.

WHATS A COMPUTER a computer is a machine that can be programmed to accept data (input), process it into useful information
(output), AND STORE IT AWAY. THE PROCESS OF INPUT TO OUTPUT IS DIRECTED BY THE SOFTWARE BUT
PEFORM BY THE HARDWARE.

COMPUTER A computer system has three main components: hardware, software, and people. The
equipment associated with a computer system is called hardware. Software is a set of
instructions that tells the hardware what to do. People, however, are the most important
component of a computer system - people use the power of the computer for some
purpose.

TYPES OF COMPUTER Mainframe Computer: It is high capacity and costly computer. It is largely used by big
organizations where many people can use it simultaneously.
Super Computer: This category of computer is the fastest and also very expensive. A
typical supercomputer can solve up to ten trillion individual calculations per second.
Workstation Computer: The computer of this category is a high-end and expensive one.
It is exclusively made for complex work purpose.
Personal Computer (PC): It is a low capacity computer developed for single users.
Apple Macintosh (Mac): It is a sort of personal computer manufactured by Apple
company.
Laptop computer (notebook): It is a handy computer that can be easily carried
anywhere.
Tablet and Smartphone: Modern technology has advanced further. It has helped
develop computers that are pocket-friendly. Tablets and smartphones are the best
examples of such computer

WHAT IS INTERNET The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the
standard Internet protocol suite (often called TCP/IP, although not all applications use
TCP) to serve billions of users worldwide

WEB BROWSER a web browser is a software application used to browse the World Wide Web. In fact,
browsing the web requires a web browser. When you type a URL into a browser and hit
enter, you are requesting to visit a specific web address indicated by the URL

WEB PAGE A web page is a document most often written in HTML and also often including CSS
(Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScript. This document is accessed by entering its URL
address into a browser.

WEBSITE A website is a collection of web pages usually collected under a common domain name.

WEB SERVER The primary function of a web server is to store, process and deliver web pages.
A web server is composed of two aspects, hardware, and software. The software side determines how
users access web pages stored on the webserver (URLs, HTTP, etc).
