What is the importance of having set of values in our society?
Student’s Answer:
Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. Values truly are valued and are valued for a reason. Values
are often neglected because people are often not aware of the minor things that consider you as a
virtuous person of the social structure. Similarly, people are the essence of how we carry ourselves on a
day-to-day basis. Those values mean they dictate what is right or wrong. They help us grow and develop.
But unfortunately, society in today's world loses its sense of importance. We have cases of abuse of
power, corruption, greed, and an absurd amount of bad manners that are strongly normalized. But there
are things that I feel need to be retained to leave for future generations.

These values, namely empathy, respect, loyalty, love, honesty, are things that I truly believe must be kept
incredibly sacred. Without this, I feel that losing these things would be detrimental to human decency. In
the wake of such a harsh world, yielding the most authentic essence to companionship and passion for
one another would mean that we would be disconnected from each other.

Practicing these simple values would mean you are doing your role as a responsible and well build the
moral character of society. Building strong values will indefinitely clear all misunderstandings, frustration,
and distrust. As an intelligent human being, you would concur to understand how others are different
from you and that their choice differs from yours, but that is what they believe is right for them. Often,
values can be contagious. Practicing these simple things on a day-to-day basis could change how the world
would look for the future of our generation and for the human race that is yet to succeed us.
