AUDIO
Good day everyone! (PAUSE)
Buckle up for another interesting podcast lesson! (PAUSE)
This is Teacher April, your teacher-podcaster in Grade 12.
Join me as we kick off a new podcast episode for our Creative Nonfiction class
Welcome to our Creative Nonfiction class. (PAUSE)
Today, we are going to take an in-depth look at how these creative nonfiction forms are called and how
one differs from one another.
In today’s episode, you are expected to compare and contrast the different forms and types of creative
nonfictional texts.
Grab a paper and pen as well as your self-learning module in Quarter 2-Module 1 and turn to page 4
and read the vocabulary list. Gauge your prior knowledge by answering pre-test from page 4-5.
Were you able to answer all the items correctly? Don’t worry because it is just an initial task, a
springboard to our new lesson. Join me as we delve deeper into the topic (PAUSE)
Let’s read each discussion on the forms and types of creative nonfiction. Turn to page 5-11 of your
self-learning module. (PAUSE)
How was it so far? Were you able to grasp full understanding of the lesson? If you say so, I bet you’re
ready to accomplish all the module tasks. For the first task, kindly read an excerpt of the selection from
“My Family’s Slave” by Alex Tizon and identify what kind of creative nonfiction it is.
Have you finished answering the task? (PAUSE) It’s great to hear that!
You may now proceed to task 2.
In this task you will accomplish the chart on page 11 wherein you are going to research the following
research materials:
 The Diary of Ann Frank by
Ann Frank
 Drawing Blood by Molly Crabapple
 Cork Dork by Bianca Bosker
 Tikim: Essays on Philippine
Food and Culture
 Twisted by Jessica Zafra
You have done a great job class! To check your understanding of the lesson, answer the Post test on
page 12. This time you are going to go over again the forms and types of creative nonfiction then
compare and contrast by filling in the table. Write your answers on a separate sheet of paper.
That’s this week’s podcast episode for our Creative Nonfiction class!
You have finally reached the end of our podcast lesson. Don’t forget to accomplish your homework on
page 12. Be guided with rubrics that follow.
Thank you for joining me in today’s learning session! Please make sure to revisit our lesson on the
different creative nonfictional texts by simply reading your self-learning modules and any other
reading materials provided for you.

I hope you have enjoyed listening to this podcast as much as I have enjoyed creating this for you. Until
next time!
