Company A Monthly fee = AED 35 Plus AED 10/GB

b- If 4GB of data is used each month, which company is cheaper and by how
much?

Company A : y a (x) = 35 + 10k

y a (x) = 35 + 10 (4) = 35 + 40 = AED 75

Company B : y a (x) = 75 + 5k

y a (x) = 75 + 5 (4) = 75 + 20 = AED 95

II) A chemist needs to make 2 liters of a 15% acid solution from a 10% acid
solution and a 35% acid solution. How many liters of each should she mix to get
the desired solution?

equations = x + y = 2

0.10 (x) + 0.35 (y) = 0.15 ( x + y )

0.10x + 0.35y = 0.15x + 0.15y

0.05x = 0.20y, x = 4y

b- Solve the system algebraically by using the elimination method.

4y + y = 2, y = 0.4 litters

x = 2 - y = 2 - 0.4 = 1.6 litters

c- Solve the system graphically and interpret the solution.
