Senior Angular Developer for Synthetics platform

Overall purpose of role

We are looking for a strong Angular developer to help grow our strategic Synthetics
platform. This application is part of Equity Finance group within prime service group
offering services to Hedge fund clients globally.
The successful candidate will be part of rewriting legacy application into completely new
architecture. The new system will be built using latest technologies like Angular/ HTML5
based UI, Spring Boot with microservice based architecture on server.
We are a global team with passionate set of individuals working as a close knit team to
deliver firm’s objectives; the team size is 30-strong with 5 in Prague location.
The person fulfilling this role will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing
and maintaining the UI of our strategic platform.

Key Accountabilities

• Design and develop business and non-functional features for the Synthetics
Derivative platform UI
• Work closely with the global development team
• Learn the Equity Synthetics business and regulations
• Liaise with business analysts and operations to understand the requirements
• Follow well organized and tight development processes utilizing Agile/Scrum
and test- driven development principles to ensure high code quality and 0-
defect strategy
• Use dev toolsets such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, TeamCity
• Ensure consistent high code quality through unit and integration testing
• Take part in technical preparations for global releases
• Evaluate performance, suggest and implement improvements, escalate
issues on time.
• Work closely with QA and Support teams throughout the project phases
• Help application support teams to investigate production issues and do
improvements to make the platform stable, maintainable and resilient
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

• Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3

• Expertise of JavaScript/TypeScript, ES6/ES2016/ES2017 and Angular
• Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the
elements and modules of core Angular
• Experience with HTML5/CSS3
• Experience using Promises
• Experience with JSON based RESTful API integrations
• Writing extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks
• Good analytical skills to diagnose problems and self-driven

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Openfin
• Experience in Java & Application Servers (Jboss)
• Understanding of middleware technologies, such as Solace / MQ / TIBCO RV
• Experience in working with a diverse team spread across the globe
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Able to multi-task and prioritize
• Agile development (Scrum methodology)
