Purpose of Assignment (3-5 sentences): For this assignment, we were supposed to tell a series of stories from
our childhood in a narrative. It was things from our childhood that we feel shaped up into who we are today.
So I wrote about three ‘core memories’ from my childhood.

New things I learned from this assignment are (3-5 sentences): I learned that my memory is not as good as
I thought it was. Sitting down to write these stories I learned how to write about myself, instead of having a
specific outline to follow. Freehand writing is a skill I needed to learn and I’m glad this assignment helped
with that.

Challenges (3-5 sentences): I struggled with recalling enough things about myself to form a whole narrative.
Writing about myself while it’s a skill I need to learn is also hard. Being descriptive about myself while still
maintaining a narrative structure was something I struggled with.
