Introduction:

Fire safety is a fundamental consideration in building design and management. It’s

crucial that your design complies with all building regulations, to ensure the safety
of your employees and the protection of your building. Fire safety should always
be a main concern, no matter what type or size of the building.

Requirements:
1. as group work (10 marks):
I. You are requested to study the planning criteria for firefighting design ad
what are the design CODs used
II. Illustration from Design Codes of the criteria explained in previous point
III. What are the fire safety considerations in buildings structure
IV. What are the measures used to assess the fire safety design in buildings?

2. Individual work (5 Marks):

You are requested to:

I. take any project from design III projects of last year from any student and to
assess the design based on the study that you did in the group work part
II. suggest improvements (Support your answer with sketches for the improved
part)

NOTE:
Each students shall have different project not repeated with other student.
