Subject: For the Post of Accountant.

I am writing this letter for the post of Accountant. I have my Master’s Degree in Government
and Public Policy. I did my bachelors in Commerce (B.com) and my intermediate is also in
Commerce (I.com). Being a student of Accounting and commerce I have worked with the
National Bank of Pakistan as an internee and I have also worked in Nayab Labs and Diagnostic
Centre as an admin officer where I have gained adequate knowledge of dealing with the
accounts. However, I believe that working with the Parliament would be an ideal way to utilize
my educational and practical experiences and all my past experience could be well applied in the
YPA position.

I have recently experienced working in the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir
as Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) where I have served the Public Accounts Committee
(PAC) and the research wing of the honorable House. Before that, I have been serving the
Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) as a Junior Parliamentary Expert
(JPE) on a research project named Parliament @ 70. During that research project, I have gained
excellent organizational skills and it also made me well adapted and confident for an office
environment. My job description was to read the debates of the Parliament (Senate and National
Assembly) and collect the information such as; Legislative/Non Legislative Business,
Bills/Ordinances, Resolutions, Adjournment motions, important issues highlighted by the
Honorable members and major rulings of the Chair. I was also designated to write the reports of
the events/seminars and public hearing meetings held by the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary
Services.

I am quite certain that I will be a valuable asset for this position.
