 REPORT ON “HOW TO BUILD A WORDPRESS 
WEBSITE” 
 
To create a website, one must have a website address.  
In order to create a website, address we use cPanel. cPanel offers different 
options for different types of businesses, we buy the suitable main domain.  
Sub‐domains can be made after buying the main domain. After buying the main 
domain we get the login and password for it which we can use to access our 
domain.  
After all these steps its time to create a website, for that we have to install 
WordPress. After installing WordPress, we create a password and a username in 
order to access it. After logging in we come to the dashboard from there our real 
work begins. (Multiple users can also be added so that our teammates can also 
access the WordPress. For multiple users to access the site, the admin adds the 
emails and password and change the setting to editor).    
From the dashboard we move to the theme. We then install our desired theme; 
we can add our desired theme by uploading it from our system. The theme is a 
complete set up containing all the components. After installing and activating the 
theme we are then required to install the plugins, during installation the plugins 
are automatically activated. These plugins contain WooCommerce plugin which is 
needed in order to setup a website.  
In order to configure WooCommerce we go to the settings, write store details like 
country, city, province, and postal code. Then we go to industry there we select 
the relevant category. Then we move to product types. Describe the product 
types according to the revenue model that is relevant to our products. Then we 
move to the business details. There we fill out the questions like “how many 
products are we selling?” and “currently selling anywhere” etc. after all this, our 
basic WooCommerce site has been setup.  
On our basic site we add product details, payment method, tax rates, shipping 
cost, places & countries to ship. We then proceed to personalize the store. After 
setting and adding things to our WooCommerce sites we then move to the 
themes from there we go to our installed theme and customize the configured 
site accordingly.  
The changes we make to our theme reflects in our website for example if we 
change the font style in our theme settings, the font style on our website 
automatically changes. We can also add pictures, of our products, can also change 
the title and can do many more to the website.  
So, there we have it, the steps that are taken for establishing a WordPress 
website.
