1. If you were given a capital to build or establish your own agricultural business, in what
branch of crop production do you prefer? Explain.  (250 words)

 It is difficult to make a decision or obtain a decision ahead of time when planning to


build an agricultural business. Instead, it takes time to carefully consider the future
outcomes of the business, whether they are positive or negative. That is why, as a
general planner as well as the owner of the business, I must look forward and put all
the efforts I had, including proper planning, in order to build the successful business
we desire.
If I were given a capital to build or establish my own agricultural I’d rather choose a
coconut plantation. Cropping farming in coconut lands produces more food and any
other agricultural products that ensuring essential food security for people in rural and
urban areas. Simultaneously, the practice creates jobs and income in the community.
People in the certain society has been given an opportunity by increasing the farm
incomes and people's purchasing power, and thus alleviating poverty in farming
communities.
Furthermore, it reduced dependence upon coconut products with unstable market
prices. Also, Increased and diversified farm income to all the people. Moreover, it
improved growth and yields of coconut palms and ease in finding the fallen nuts due
to management of intercrop through weed control and by the use of fertilizers. In
addition, in planting coconut tree it intercropped plants such as bananas and
pineapples provide income in the short-term, as it takes young palms six or seven
years to produce economic yields. Lastly, better use of good quality land located
close to settlements.
