The production of coffee worldwide in 2003.

This report summarized the production of coffee in year 2003 around the worlds for the Starbucks

Company. The trends in coffee production deferred over the last 20 years. In 2003, the region with the

highest portion of coffee production were: Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Brazil, Cote

D'ivoire, Uganda, India, Vietnam, Indonesia.

As summarized in Figure 1, Brazil produced the highest amount of coffee with 1.708 million kg in 2003.

Next region with highest portion of coffee production was Colombia with 705 million kg. It’s shown that

the least coffee production happened in Cote D’voire in that year.
