Teachers

There are many characteristics that a good teacher should inhabit. I have been very
fortunate to have little to no experience with “bad” teachers, though I have had a few who harbor
a method or two that I disagree with.
To be, in my opinion, a successful teacher, it is important to develop a personal
relationship with each student and to be tuned in to the student’s needs while being flexible with
the curriculum if it is not working for the class. A successful teacher should always hold
boundaries and rules whilst still listening to what students have to say. They should always try
there best to be prepared for each lesson.
Bad teachers, on the other hand, can be unprepared for a lesson, causing students to learn
less. This also gives some students the impression that the teacher will let them goof around. It is
ineffective for the teacher to put a spotlight on this behavior, because it accomplishes the goal of
the aggravated student: to get attention.
