GULAYAN SA TAHANAN (URBAN VEGETABLE GARDENING)

As part of Brigada Eskwela and School - Family - Community partnerships to promote a sustainable food
supply at homes, as well as on communicating stakeholders on how they can support the school emergency and
contingency to ensure resiliency, San Jose National High School is encouraging its partners and stakeholders to do
Urban Vegetable Gardening or the Gulayan sa Tahanan.
The school personnel will also do vegetable gardening in accordance to the teacher’s meeting conducted on
______.

OBJECTIVE:
1. To promote a sustainable food supply at homes and at school.
2. To support the school emergency to ensure resiliency.
3. To give importance to the essence of food produce by urban vegetable gardening.

Program Output:
 Create vegetable garden to have a sustainable food supply at home and at school.
Program Outcome:
 Harvest of vegetables, and others.

HOW IT WILL BE DONE?


The school’s Gulayan sa Paaralan Coordinator will create a campaign in any way possible to disseminate
the process of the implementation of the program.
When implemented, she will then monitor the process and the outputs.
M & E Process

The implementation of the program will undergo Monitoring and Evaluation. In this endeavor, the methodology,
resource persons, participants, facilities and materials to be used during the Urban Vegetable Garden as part of the
Brigada Eskwela 2021 which when done accordingly will pave the way in nurturing and supplying sustainable foods.
Moreover, this will also help in aiding the malnutrition of some of our learners towards a healthier mind and body.
However, it does not end here. The impact of this program not only to the learners but also with the parents, teachers
and other stakeholders will still be monitored and assessed. This is to know if the program has been taken
wholeheartedly. What they have learned in this program and how it will help them may inspire not only the school and
its community but also the whole nation.
