Performance Task

KORFBALL: INDIVIDUAL TASKS - BASIC SKILLS

VIDEO SUBMISSION FOR EACH DRILL

Skills 1- passing/ catching


Instruction:

• Get yourself a partner (friend, family member) to catch and pass the ball.
• Get a ball (basketball, volleyball, or any modified ball)
• Position yourself 8-10 meters away from your partner.
• Face your partner.
• Your partner throws the ball, and the receiver will catch the ball with two hands.
• The receiver will pass the ball back to their partner using one hand (overarm).
• The limit of ball throws is 8 times.
• Perform the drill thrice with a 30-second rest time in between sets.

Skills 2 -V-cut
Instruction:

 Look for any place that has a flat surface.


 Make sure the surrounding is safe for playing to avoid unwanted circumstances.
 Draw a V line with a gap of 3 meters on each line or you can use anything like slippers,
stones, etc.
 First, the player starts at the starting line and runs to the middle, then sprints at the end
of the line.
 Perform the drill 10 times, right and left in 2 sets with a 30 second rest time in between
sets.

Skills 3- shooting: longshots


Instruction:
 Look for an open space to perform shooting drills.
 Get yourself a ball or improvised ball and ring that could be used in shooting drills
(paper ball, Basketball ball, Volleyball ball, soccer ball and bucket, drum, or sacks).
 Position yourself 5 to 7 meters away from the improvise ring.
 The player will be given 3 sets. And in every set, they will be given 5 attempts to shoot
the ball.
 And their scores will be dependent on how many shoots they have.
