1.INTRODUCTION

The Walt Disney Entertainment Company is the world's largest media multinational, including
theme parks, studios, television networks, and performing goods manufacturers. The Walt
Disney Organization is a multinational family entertainment and media company with five
business segments: media networks, parks and resorts, studios, and consumer goods.

 Number of employees in Walt Disney Company =223 000(2019)

 Country of operation = Team Disney building, Walt Disney studios, Burbank California
U. S.

Disney's main target demographic of 4–12 year old boys and girls is varied, with the younger
half still being youngsters and the older half approaching puberty.

The Walt Disney Company began as a cartoon studio in 1920 and has since grown to become the
world's largest media company. When the Mickey Mouse animations named it the greatest
developer of family entertainment items, the company had just started delivering Alice in
Wonderland cartoons. Since then, the company has launched a variety of family entertainment
goods, which have resulted in increasing sales and a significant increase in revenue. The
company's corporate goals are to produce entertainment goods that will benefit families and
teach youngsters to be responsible members of society.

Competition

Because of the several industries in which the firm works, it has a variety of rivals. The CBS
Corporation is a major competitor in the broadcasting industry, where they fight for advertising
money. CBS is a corporation that owns production studios and television networks, as well as
being one of America's most prominent television networks. JC Penny and other shops compete
with the company in the consumer items category as well. Walt Disney Entertainment, on the

other hand, continues to dominate the theme park and family entertainment industries, and new
studios are unable to compete with the company's financial strength. The most prominent
competitors in Disney's market were ViacomCBS, Charter Communications, Sony, and
Comcast. On television, cable, and other sorts of media like DVDs & Blue-ray, games, and the
Internet, these firms typically compete with Disney's products.

I. What are the sustainable development goals?

The 2023 agenda for sustainable development was brought into table by the world leaders during
the UN sustainable development summit took place on 25th September 2015. The agenda is
comprised of 17 sustainable development goals with 169 targets ranging from ending poverty,
fighting inequality injustice & addressing climate change by 2030.

The SDG agenda works as a framework for the international community with relation to
development and the set targets of the agenda would work as tools to measure progress in
development work carried out by the international community. The goals need to be achieved as
a whole and not individually. Also, all the goals are inter connected.

Every goal is comprised of set of targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. In order to
achieve the goals, all parties- governments, general public, civil society- have a vital role to play.

SDG’s mainly focus governments; However, SDGs incorporate a range of organizations in order
to ensure that SDGs are reached around a common framework. Especially, the role businesses
have to play in reaching SDGs is a key factor to be considered.
