Reaction Paper for my ojt

Hello, my name is Hazel B. Aranas, and I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in business

administration with a focus on financial management. My initial reaction to my On-the-Job
Training - Ojt In and Ojt Out was one of excitement and apprehension. When Ma'am Michelle
Redoblado brought me to the dean of graduate school for the first time, I felt nervous and shy.
For a variety of reasons, and because I have a lot on my mind. As a result, I am unfamiliar with
the people in the office and lack relevant experience. At first, this made me quite silent. I'm
trying to figure out how to work with the secretary and ma'am Revita. The dean of graduate
school interviewed me about my academics and my life on my first day on the OJT. I was so shy
my first week that I didn't even speak with ma'am Revita's secretary, whom I didn't know. After a
few days I developed friendships with the secretary and the head of the graduate school. There
was no hard work or difficult assignments assigned to me. Encoding, printing, checking O.B.E,
creating a format to check the O.B.E papers because we don't have a printer, and delivering
papers to some teachers after checking the O.B.E are some of my tasks. During OJT, I just
arrange the 201 files of the masteral student and compile the comprehensive exam of the
masteral student are some of my other tasks. During my practicum, I spent my time as a trainee
performing my allocated task/duty. I always complete and finish my work on time and before the
deadline, and it gives me great joy to know that Ma'am Revita is pleased with my work. Because
I have so much stuff to do every day, every minute counts. I want to enhance my time
management skills and get more confidence in my ability to complete tasks without hesitation.
Personally, I know that when it comes to time management, I'm not very good at it because I've
always been late to school and sometimes I can't combine my schoolwork with my interests,
such as watching anime or Korean dramas, and I'm not ashamed to confess that. When I first
started my OJT, I made myself come into the office on or before my duty time since I knew that if
I didn't, it would affect my performance. I've learnt to respect my time, especially when I'm
working, since in the real world of business, time management is the most crucial thing to
handle, or else no one will hire you. I learnt to be on time, to be courteous of those in positions
of authority, to socialize and form harmonious relationships with others, to persevere and be
patient, to be cautious in all of my work, to be modest and constantly eager to learn, and many
other things.

I've been on an On-the-Work-Training course for approximately 5 months, and one of the most
difficult challenges is proving to yourself that you're doing your job and that you deserve a good
grade, not just from your mentor but also from the secretary. In just 600 hours of on-the-job
training, I've learned a lot, but I've also realized that there are still some areas I need to work on,
one of which is my vocal communication. There are times when I have difficulty expressing
myself or my thoughts to others because I am unsure of how to phrase it in a way that the
listener will understand and grasp my point. Since the beginning of my on-the-job training,
sometimes known as a "internship," I've learnt values that will help me construct a better future.
For me, standing out every day is a challenge. But, thanks to the Lord's direction, I always have
a winning mentality and tell myself, "I'm going to win this."During my OJT, I learned a lot of stuff.
Not only was I introduced to a real office setting, but I also understood what I actually wanted
before I graduated. What kind of job I'd like to have, and so on. I've learned some important
lessons. First, you must strive to please everyone. Do your best to be polite and nice to
everyone, and do so with sincerity (yung hindi plastic). Because when we are good to others,
we receive the same kindness in return. And don't forget to grin. I was able to develop the ability
to accept tiny and large errors. I learned how to deal with the real world and converse with a
variety of people during my practicum. I used to think I couldn't do well as a practicum student,
but as time went on, I noticed that my self-confidence and self-esteem grew. During my
practicum, I also discovered the value of time management. I'm aware that I'll make mistakes
and be chastised on occasion. But I see it as a challenge to push myself to grow and move
forward rather than backwards.

I can say, I'm happy and fulfilled, being a part of the Graduate school department. I could
probably say that I really learned a lot of things here. From the moment I set my feet on this
place, I know I will be facing different challenges in being a part of this department but at the
same time I know that I will learn new things regarding the possible work that I will be doing in
the office.

I gain knowledge. I learn new skills. I met different people. I can say that my personal
experience here in graduate school provides everything not just for the real world of securing an
employment but for me to look forward to after my graduation. Yes, someday I may be one of
those applicants who are trying to seek a good job. And not just a good job but also a good
department like graduate school.

OJT here at graduate school helps me to prepare myself for my future employment. It also helps
me to become more efficient in dealing with the people around me.
Experience is the best teacher and nothing compares to the knowledge that it can give to us. It
may be hard at first, but once we learn to appreciate and love what we’re doing, it becomes
easier and easier every day. In the beginning, working with people you have just first met is
something different and something that is hard inside. Hard inside that you can't say anything or
do anything that you are usually saying because of the near fact that you might offend them or
they may think you’re rude. In my experience I have become an observant and a listener to the
people I worked with.

I have developed as a trainee to follow strictly on instructions to ensure that the process is
properly sequence. Ask questions, if required, to clarify your understanding about things and
this prevents you from incurring errors. I can say that I gained to work effectively and
competently in this department. I improve my self confidence in socializing with people. I have
the initiative in doing something. I’ve learned to be flexible, because culture is always changing,
thus impacting the office work and paper work culture as well. In my 600 hours of OJT I can say
that the course I enrolled in is exactly where I want and I will probably stay in this profession for
as long as job opportunities are present.
With the education I have imparted by graduate school , I see myself 5 years from now to be a
smart, responsible and independent woman in a stable job, holding an accountable position in
a respectable department who value my existence and will work in much better way, because of
well known conditions, and settled atmosphere, which helps to the growth of the organization. I
see myself socializing with my co-ojts. Having a strong academic knowledge given by graduate
school I see myself fulfilling my dreams in the future.

During my stay there as a trainee, they kept on encouraging and motivating me to study hard
and to always do my best. I really had a very meaningful and memorable OJT at graduate
school . Though I already finished working there as a trainee, I am looking forward to working
with them, not as trainees anymore, but as a professional like them someday.

Problems Conclusion Nothing beats experience as the perfect learning tool. This On-the-Job
Training served as my stepping stone to pursue my dream. This training gave me inspiration to
be more serious and focused in studying. I was encouraged to put more effort into my
studies.Despite the short period of my training, it was still a very meaningful one. The training
enriched my confidence and created a foundation of being a good employee/ ojt someday.

The training made me realize that it is really good to know what you’re doing and to love it. As a
student, what I can do for now is to learn whatever I can in school, be inspired, love the path I'm
taking, and do my best in everything I do, with a positive outlook in mind. I realized that I should
be more focused in school and do everything heartily and with all that I can.

It is also very warm to the heart to know that you have accomplished something and even
warmer when there are people who are so proud of what you have done and I felt this feeling
during my On-the-Job Training. It inspired me to be more determined and competitive in
everything that I doin my daily life as a student today and as a professional someday.

My On-the-Job Training is very helpful and will be very helpful to me as I continue to take my
journey as a fourth year student in the field of Business Administration. It reeeeally gave me a
taste of the real world – a sight of what lies after I graduate.

As I entered college I am prepared that one day I will be working in the real world. So after
taking this on-the-job training I am assuring myself that this will help me in my future job. I know
that 600 hours is not enough to fully understand the real situation in working in the real world but
I am sure that I can cope up easily and flexibly to whatever my future job will be. I am grateful
that I will be entering a new chapter in my life after OJT and graduation. I am excited about what
will happen next.

The whole OJT Experience was really a great memory to remember. All the working days, learn
that the most important is the attitude, on how to deal with the other people, it also needs
knowledge and skills in analyzing the situation or the task that has been given to you. Need to
learn from your mistakes, because mistakes can make you a better person.

After the training, I learned that OJT is not just a requirement to be completed but it is an
opportunity to show what skills, knowledge and talents that I have and also an opportunity to
experience the feeling of being a professional already.
Aside from the experience that I had relating to my course, this OJT allowed me to get
acquainted with the mentor of graduate school . Being with them is a pleasure because I was
working with them.

For those who will take their practicum in the future, my advice is you need to take seriously the
tasks assigned to you, since this is a chance for you to see yourself if what things you can do
better or to exceed more, what are your weaknesses to make it your strength. This will really
help you to develop your skills and knowledge that you’ve been learning for how many years in
school. You need to be more strategic when it comes to work, for you to do the task faster and
properly. Show them that you are not just only a trainee but you are just like an employee that
takes his/her job well and makes them proud of you. Self discipline is one thing that a trainee
needs to improve especially when it comes to time management because it is very important in
any sector of job. As a result, the company might absorb you in the future if you have a good
performance.
