Chocolate Hills

The Chocolate Hills are a geological formation in the Bohol province of the Philippines.
There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an
area of more than 50 square kilometers. They are covered in green grass that turns
brown like chocolate during the dry season, hence the name. The Chocolate Hills is a
famous tourist attraction of Bohol. They are featured in the provincial flag and seal to
symbolize the abundance of natural attractions in the province. They are in the
Philippine Tourism Authority’s list of tourist destinations in the Philippines, they have
been declared the country’s third National Geological Monument and proposed for
inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Looking at the giant mole hills, the
Chocolate hills are probably Bohol’s most famous tourist attraction. Most people who
first see the landscape in pictures could not tell whether these hills are natural artifacts
or man-made. If it is really man-made, then the effort of building them surely Uniform in
shape, they are between 30 and 50 meters high. They are covered with grass, which at
surpasses the construction of the pyramid in Egypt. The hills are no less than 1,268 in
