Semi-detailed Lesson Plan

I. OBJECTIVES

During and after (1) one-hour lesson, at least 90% of the pupils are expected to:

1. identify literary elements of a story,


2. annotate the significance of the elements of a story, and
3. draw pictures from a favorite movie/story that has elements of a story.

 Google Meet/ Powerpoint Presentation/ Laptop to discuss the Elements of a Story

IV. PROCEDURE

A. Preparation/Preliminary Activities
a. Opening Prayer/Attendance
b. Recall the previous topic
1. One of the learners will review the previous topics and share it to the
class.
2. Ask questions to them if they truly understood the past lesson.
c. Motivation
The pupils are asked to look at the pictures on the screen with some collage
of movies and stories and ask someone from the class with the following
motivational questions:
1. What did you see on the screen?
2. What is your favorite movie or story and who are the main characters?
3. What was the problem of the story or movie and How did the problem solved?
4. Do you believe that these elements are important to a story?

B. Lesson/Activity Proper

1. Discuss the literary Elements of a Story and read the story about “The Carrot
Seed” through Powerpoint Presentaion and Google meet.
2. Explain the significance of the Elements of a Story.
3. Make the students interact by throwing questions.
4. Correct misconceptions, if there’s any.

C. Application of Activities

Activity No. 1: Read, Understand, Learn!


a. The learners are requested to answer the Activity No. 1A about the discussion,
to measure how they learn the lesson.
b. They will read the story about "The Carrot Seed" once again and answer the
six (6) provided questions.
c. The learners are also requested to answer the Activity No. 1B, they will identify
what elements of the story being described in each question.
d. The activity is intended only for 10 minutes to be carried out via Google Form
(1 point each).

Activity No. 2: Let It Show!

a. The learners are asked to prepare one (1) whole sheet of bondpaper, pencil,
pen, and crayons.
b. The learners are tasked to draw their favorite movie or story that has atleast 3
Elements of a Story and present it to the class.
c. The activity is intended only for 15 minutes. The score will be based to the
given rubric.
