Below are just a few examples of technology that we use nowadays among others.
The ICT includes both internet-connected devices and mobile ones supported
by wireless technology. However, let us bear in mind that technology is not just gadgets and
smartphones but also in other forms like the things that we use everyday.
According to the First Regular Session of the Fifteenth Congress, it is said that the
Philippines has been the “social media capital” of the world due to the large volume of Short
Messaging System (SMS) traffic exchange in the country. It has been estimated that the
number of cellular phone subscribers in the Philippines reached over 23 million and is still
growing at a rapid rate.
This citation says that most Filipinos are very fond of using technology especially
Millenials. That sometimes it seems impossible for us to live without it.
The technology was first brought to the Philippines by the Spaniards. Since then, it
became more developed and advanced up until now and has reached even the farthest part
of Puerto Princesa City.
This has brought progress and allowed us to reach heights of success in our society.
However, we also have to be wary of the disadvantages of technology in our lives.
Here are some notable instances where technology empowers us and is sometimes
enslaved by it.

Although technology is powerful it has also the common risks that are evident
nowadays such as the following:

use their identity to commit fraud, making unauthorized
transactions.
2. Cyberbullying It is committed when someone belittles or humiliates a
person on social media platforms. A person who commits
this crime is often called a “troll”. They use fake identities
to stalk their targets.

3. Online predators These persons are engaged in malicious acts on the
internet where victims are often minors.
