Method
Mix waxes and heat until molten. Add Span 80, Tween 80 and Dowanol DPM. Adjust
temperature to 98°C. Heat half of water and potassium hydroxide to 90°C and add in a
steady stream to the wax melt whilst homogenising. Reheat if necessary to entirely melt wax.
Add the remainder of the water and continue mixing until cool.

Additional Information
The viscosity of this free flowing liquid emulsion can be altered by changing the quantity of
Dowanol DPM in the oil phase. The dry film is virtually tack free. It can be readily removed
with hydrocarbon solvents and hot water.

Usage: To be used as a wax emulsion to be applied to new cars to protect them during
storage or shipment.
