 Problem 1
Evaluate the integral using Gaussian quadrature so that
the result is exact.

•Solution:
•As the integrand is a polynomial of order 2, for exact
integration, 2m − 1 = 2, which results in the required
number of sampling points as m = 3/2. By rounded up
to the nearest integer value, we must use two sampling
points.
•From the table take the value of ri and wi.
