II. DEPARTMENT
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration aims to:
1. Equip the students with critical and analytical thinking skills that enable them to internalize and put into practice the concepts, principles, and
theories in the world of business;
2. Inculcate in the minds of students the vital role of business organizations in promoting social interaction in attaining economic sufficiency and
stability;
3. Provide students first hand experiences of office work through practicum in order to experience the real world in the business profession;
4. Produce graduates who will lead in the promotion and growth of business for social and economic development; and
5. Instill research-orientedness among the students that enables them to solve problems and issues besetting in the industry.

Major in Financial Management (FM)


1. Perform management skills such as planning, organizing, staffing, directing, leading and controlling in various business situations,
2. Work effectively with others to provide quality service to their client,
3. Create a business – friendly environment for strategic direction towards successful business,
4. Complete understanding of the concepts, principles, and the theories of financial management,
5. Help the students to seek employment and assume entry-level jobs or positions of responsibility as financial analyst, financial manager or executives.
6. Prepare the students to pursue a teaching career or graduate studies in business, and
7. Conduct Feasibility Study, business researches contributory to instruction and extension.

Major in Human Resource Management (HRM)

VIII. Course Description:


The course aims to expose students to different facets of Philippine history through the lens of eyewitnesses. Students are expected to analyze the
selected readings contextually and in terms of its content. It will guide the students through their reading and analysis of the texts and require them to write
reaction essays of varied length and present their ideas in other ways.
The course analyses Philippine history from multiple perspectives through the lens of selected primary sources coming from various disciplines and of
different genres. Students are given opportunities to analyze the author’s background and main arguments, compare different points of view, identify biases
and examine the evidences presented in the document. Discussions will tackle traditional topics in history and other interdisciplinary themes that will
deepen and broaden their understanding of Philippine political, economic, cultural, social scientific and religious history.
The end goal is to develop the historical and critical consciousness of the students so that they will become versatile, articulate, broadminded, morally
upright and responsible citizens.

1. Evaluate primary sources credibility, authenticity and provenance;
2. Analyze the content, context and perspective of different kinds of primary and secondary sources;
3. Determine the contribution of different kinds of primary sources in understanding Philippine history;
4. Develop critical and analytical skills with exposure to primary sources;
5. Demonstrate the ability to use primary sources to argue in favor or against a particular issue;
6. Communicate effectively using various techniques and genres in making historical analysis of a particular event or issue that could help others
understand the chosen topic;
7. Propose recommendations/solutions to present-day problems based on their understanding of root causes and their anticipation of future scenarios.
8. Display the ability to work in a team and contribute to a group project; and
9. Manifest interest in local history and concern in promoting and preserving our country’s national patrimony and cultural heritage.
