Preface
"My project provides complete information on the
topic"Laser balaram kit" and efforts have been taken to
make the project more comprehensive and lucid to
understand. My project covers a variety of sub topic
like its working, setup, uses in life and different aspects

of laser Security Balaram System.

Introduction
 Laser security systems are a high tech technology
that used to be a part of home security only
available to the wealthy. It is manually switch
dependent sen- sors and a basic Laser
alarm unit. Laser security system a person moves
in front of the sensor, that person triggers the
system's alarm by cutting the laser.
 Laser based Security System is a type of security
and alarm system that uses laser light and a light
sensor. A security system protects our homes,
offices, banks, lockers etc. from intrusion and
unauthorised access.
Working principle
 it consist of
 1_PCB(Printed circuit based),2 resistor,battery
diode),tooth pick,ldr sesnsor(light dependent
resistor),9v battery, transistor,buzzer
 The laser is a concentrated light source that puts
out a straight line "pencil beam" of light of a single
color. The detector is sensitive to light and puts out
a voltage when the laser light hits it. The detector is
connected to the sensing electronics.
 RESISTOR
 A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical
component that implements electrical resistance as
a circuit element. In electronic
circuits, resistors are used to reduce current flow,
adjust signal levels, to divide voltages, bias active
elements, and terminate transmission lines, among
other uses.
 LED
 It is the simplest terms, a light-emitting
diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits In
light when an electric current is passed through it.
Light is produced when the particles that carry the
current (known as electrons and holes) combine
together within the semiconductor material.
 LDR SENSOR
 Photo resistors, also known as light dependent
resistors (LDR), are light sensitive devices most
often used to indicate the presence or absence of
light, or to measure the light intensity. ... LDRs have
a sensitivity that varies with the wavelength of the
light applied and are nonlinear devices.
 TRANSISTOR
 A transistor is a type of a semiconductor device
that can be used to both conduct and insulate
electric current or voltage. A transistor basically
acts as a switch and an
amplifier. ... Transistors are one of the key
components in most of the electronic devices that
are present today.
 TYPES OF TRANSISTOR
 Transistors are basically classified into two types;
they are Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJT)
and Field Effect Transistors (FET). The BJTs are
again classified into NPN and PNP transistors.
The FET transistors are classified into JFET and
MOSFET.

NPN TRANSISTOR
An NPN (Negative-Positive-Negative) type and a PNP
( Positive-Negative-Positive) type. The most commonly
used transistor configuration is the NPN Transistor. We
also learnt that the junctions of the bipolar
transistor can be biased in one of three different ways –
Common Base, Common Emitter and Common
Collector.

PNP TRANSISTOR
The transistor in which one n-type material is doped
with two p-type materials such type of transistor is
known as PNP transistor. It is a current controlled
device. The small amount of base current controlled
both the emitter and collector current.

BUZZER
A buzzer or beeper is an audio signalling device,
which may be mechanical, electromechanical, or
piezoelectric (piezo for short). Typical uses
of buzzers and beepers include alarm devices,
timers, and confirmation of user input such as a
mouse click or keystroke.

 BLOCK DIAGRAM
ADVANTAGES
• With its latest technology features, crime is deterred. Intruders
will rather skip or would not prefer to waste time in cracking its
code. Also, it imparts fear in their mind.

• Also, it alerts the law enforcement officials via the monitoring

system of the alarm.

• Safety and security to the homeowners.

DISADVANTAGES

 The laser security system works only if the laser is

obstructed.
 If the intruder passes without obstructing the laser, it is
considered as a failure. In order to secure a larger area,
we need more lasers and corresponding sensors.

APPLICATION
 A laser security alarm is a system designed to detect intrusion –
unauthorized entry – into a building or area.
 They are also called security alarms, security systems, alarm systems,
intrusion detection systems, perimeter detection systems, and similar terms.
 CONCLUSION
 Laser security systems are a high tech technology that
used to be a part of home security only available to the
wealthy. It is manually switch dependent sensors and a
basic alarm unit. Laser security system a person moves
in front of the motion sensor, that person's body heat
triggers the system's alarm.
