INSPECTION AND CHECKS

Safety
Wash machine - wash out battery box
Place "Do Not Start Tag' at battery isolator and turn off
Place Wheel Cocks Behind/Front of Wheels
Cabin
Check seat adjusters are working
Check Operators Seat Belt for wear/damage
Check Warning Lights and Gauges
Check Operation of Windshield Wipers
Check Lights, Horn and Back-up Alarm
All window glass is clean and not cracked
Inspect mirrors for cracks and mounting
Inspect cab mounts for damage/loose bolts
Door and window catches operate correctly
Interior cab light works
All controls are not damaged or leaking.
Electrical
Check Battery Terminals and Cables
Check Battery Hold Down Clamps
Check All Electrical Harness Connections
Check all wiring for rubbing and damage
Alternator mounting looks ok.
Lights and indicators mounting is secure
All wiring in engine compartment is not rubbing or damaged.
Engine
Check Air Cleaner Hoses and Clamps and mounts are ok
Check all water hoses are not leaking or damaged.
Inspect all fuel line hoses and clamps
Check Engine Mount areas
Check AC and alternator belt for correct tension and condition
Check for any leaks and report - oil ,coolant or fuel
Inspect radiator mounting for cracks/loose bolts
Inspect radiator area for leaks/damage/trash build up
Inspect around engine for loose bolts/damage.
Inspect exhaust manifold area for exhaust leaks
Inspect fire extinguisher for mounting and gauge is reading correctly.
Radiator cap is sealing properly.

Drive Line
Inspect around transmission for leaks/damage
Inspect all hoses for rubbing and damge
Inspect drive shaft for damage / wear in joints.
Inspect around wheel hubs for leaks/damage
Inspect tandem housings for leaks / damage.
Inspect wheel nuts for signs of being loose
OTR to check all tyre pressures and wear.
Inspect differential housing for leaks/damage
Inspect brake hoses for wear/rubbing or leaks
Inspect transmission guard for damage and is secure.
Steering system
Inspect steering ball joints for wear/damage
Inspect steering hoses for rubbing/damage or leaks
Inspect all grease hoses are not damaged
Inspect all grease points are receiving grease.
Inspect steering hydraulic cylinders for leaks/damage
Inspect all steering components for wear / damage.
Hydraulic system
Inspect all hydraulic hoses for rubbing/leaks or damage
Inspect all hydraulic cylinders for leaks/damage
Inspect hydraulic cylinder mounting areas for cracks / wear.
Inspect around hydraulic valve area for leaks/damage
Inspect around pump area for leaks or damage.
Chassis
Inspect chassis rails for cracks/damage
Inspect around all areas of chassis for damage/cracks
Inspect Blade "A" frame for damage/wear
Inspect around blade and circle for damge/cracks
Inspect ripper frame for wear/damage
Inspect all handrails for cracks and damage.
Inspect around engine covers for cracks / damage.
Inspect around fuel tank mounts for cracks/damage/leaks.
Inspect steps and ladders for damage.
Check condition of grease hoses and blocks.
Check wear on blade cutting edges.
Check ripper boots for wear.
Lubrication & Service Items
Take SOS Sample of Engine Oil
Take SOS Sample of Transmission Oil
Take SOS Sample of Hydraulic Oil
Replace engine oil filter with new. Cut open old one and show s/visor.
Drain engine oil and refill.
Inspect all pivot points are receiving grease.
Fill grease tank with grease
Replece fuel / water filter with new.
Replace fuel filter with new.
Replace eng outer air cleaner with new.
Replace engine inner air cleaner with new.
Tandem drive oil - change both sides.

Remove and clean both tandem breathers.

Replace hydraulic return filter. Cut open and show s/visor.
Replace hydraulic control filter. Cut open and show s/visor.
Check / top up hydraulic tank oil level.
Replace transmission filter element. Cut open and show s/visor.
Remove and clean 2 of transmission screens.
Drain and refill transmission / differential oil level.
Drain hydraulic oil and refill
Check coolant level.
Fill washer bottle tank with clean water.
Blow out cab air cleaners - in cab and outer.
Drain sediment and water from fuel tank.
Change oil in both front wheel hubs.
Change oil in circle drive housing.
Clean out heater and a/c cores with compressed air.
Running Checks
All implements are working correctly.
Check operation of park brake.
Check operation of foot brake.
Air conditioner is working ok.
Steering operation is ok.
Check emergency steering system is working correctly.
Check for excessive movement in blade slides.
Check for excessive movement in circle drive.
Check for excessive movement in "A" frame ball.
Test ground level engine shut down switch is working.
Finish
Service sheet filled in fully and signed off.
Remove wheel chocks
Remove all danger tags - each person must remove their own
Wash/clean off any spilt oil
Park on GO line and notify operations
Clean up work area
