At the stage of cow's milk production, the first thing to do is start with a herd of dairy
cows grazing on the pasture and end with milk products purchased by consumers. The initial
stage in the process is feeding the cows, namely grass in the field. Twice a day, the cows are
brought from pasture to a milking facility where they are milked by automatic milking
machines. The resulting milk remains fresh in a large refrigerated storage tank. Every day, milk
is collected by milk tankers and transported to the dairy factory where further processes are
applied to produce a variety of products. Some milk is pasteurized - heat treated to kill harmful
bacteria - while the rest is converted into other dairy products: cheese, cream and butter.
Finally, the finished dairy products are transported to shops and supermarkets where they can
be purchased by the general public.
