This circular on commission schedule replaces Agency Circular No.53 of the Agent Handbook.

Entitlement to Commission:

The Agent will be entitled to commissions on proposals sourced by him in respect of which the premiums have been
collected and remitted by him to Max Life and the same have been received and accepted by Max Life and Max Life has
issued the policy against such proposals.

This entitlement to commission shall be subject to the provisions of applicable insurance laws, the terms of the Agent
appointment letter and the provisions detailed in this schedule of commission and all amendments made in respect thereof.

Requirements Concerning Commission

1) Subject to Insurance Laws, commission shall be due for payment to the agent only after the free look period (as
prescribed by the Company) has expired and the policyholder has not made a request for rescinding the policy.
2) If, for any reason, the Company terminates, rescinds, reforms, modifies or cancels a policy or if any insurance policy is
cancelled within the free look period or thereafter ,for any reasons whatsoever, including due to the Agent soliciting or
procuring an insurance policy contrary to the terms and conditions of the Appointment Letter or intentionally splitting
the policies, then, no commission shall be payable to the agent and if any commission has already been paid to the agent,
the same shall either be adjusted against future commission payable to the Agent in accordance with the Appointment
Letter or agent may be asked to return the same to the Company in full within 30 days of the Agent being notified of the
cancellation.
3) Company may set off /recover any amount, payable/refundable by the Agent, from any sum due to the Agent on account
of any commission or rewards due or any from any other amount payable to me by the Company or otherwise may
recover from any claim amount payable to the Agent under a life insurance policy with the Company.
4) Any adjustment in the premium payable on a policy shall result in corresponding adjustment in the commissions due to
the Agent on such policy.

Procedure for Payment of Commission

Subject to the terms of the appointment letter and the insurance laws, the procedure and mode of payment of the commission
to the Agent shall be as specified by the Company from time to time.

Others

1) This commission schedule is subject to the insurance laws and in no event the agent shall be entitled for
commission/reward exceeding the regulatory, statutory or File and Use limits or beyond limits prescribed by the
company irrespective the agent qualifies for any contest/scheme. This commission schedule is also subject to
change(s) or modification(s) including in accordance with or pursuant to direction/regulation/order of the IRDAI or
change of law. The same shall be binding on the agent. The Company shall not be liable to indemnify or compensate
the Agent for any loss or damage to the Agent pursuant to any such change or modification.
2) This commission schedule will also be subject to change as decided by the Company in its sole discretion, in whole
or in part, at any time by way of written notice to the Agent, and the new commission rates, terms and conditions
and rules will then apply as notified by the Company.
3) The decision of the Company with respect to any dispute on the commission amount, commission rates, rewards and
mode of payment of commission, the number of new and renewal of life insurance policies and other related matters
shall be final and binding on the Agent.
4) The payment of commission to the Agent by Max Life shall be subject to any deduction of tax at source, as may be
statutorily required.
5) Commission rates for the products mention hereinabove shall be effective from the date of launch of the respective
version of such products irrespective of the date of this commission schedule. For effective date, you may connect
with respective agency manager.
6) For commission rates for the withdrawn products or withdrawn versions of the products, please refer to earlier
commission schedules or connect with respective agency manager.
