Week 4: Weekly Exercise (Writing a Descriptive Essay)

My first smartphone

Technology has grown to the point where it is now an integral part of daily life. The
smartphone is one of the world's fastest-growing technologies. The term "smartphone" can
also refer to a mobile phone or a cell phone. Smartphones are used by everyone on the planet.
Because it is the most convenient way for individuals to communicate. Today, smartphones
have become an integral part of our daily lives.

I got my first smartphone when I was 11 years old. I remember at that time I felt like I am the
happiest person in the world when I got my first smartphone for the first time in my life. I
was both thrilled and overwhelmed because I had worked so hard to save money to get the
smartphone. My first smartphone was a Samsung Galaxy Y TV model. I recall, this
smartphone was incredibly pricey and innovative at the time.

So, how I am be able to afford that expensive smartphone at that time? I raised money by
cleaning dishes at my mother's store and working as a server in a restaurant at night. Day by
day, I am accumulating more and more funds in order to get my dreams phone. I am very
delighted because of my hard work, and I cannot believe I bought a smartphone with my own
money without asking the money from my parents. It seemed like my dreams had come true.
I felt so excited and happy person at the same time!

The beauty of this smartphone is that it includes a television antenna, and I was able to
change the channel simply by using the phone. I also communicate with the help of my
smartphone. I can use it to send text messages and make phone calls from anyplace without
needing a landline. It also allows me to summon assistance in an emergency.

It can be used not only for communication, but also as a source of entertainment. When I
required to unwind, the entertainment feature on my phone came in handy. There are plenty
of free games that may be quickly downloaded.

The special of this smartphone, I do not have to bring a camera, iPod, or mp3 players
separately because my mobile phone has all their features. I can take pictures and videos,
listen to music, and play games with it.
A device small enough to fit in my pocket so I can bring it with me to anywhere I go.
Carrying the smartphone will not troublesome me because it is not so heavy. Even though it
was happened a long time ago, but I still remember about it because I had so many memories
with that phone. If someone ask me what I want, I would say that I want my first smartphone
back because I want to keep it forever with me.
