BARANGAY POBLACION, SOMINOT, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR HELD AT ITS BARANGAY

RESOLUTION NO. 004

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RE-CONSTITUTION OF THEy BARANGAY HEALTHBOARD

OF BARANGAY POBLACION, SOMINOT, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR.

WHEREAS, the Barangay Health Board is a special body created by virtue of Republic Act No. 7160
whose main duty is to guarantee equitable, sustainable and quality health for all, especially the poor.

NOW THERFORE, I, Danilo L. Damas, Punong Barangay of Barangay Poblacion, Sominot, Zamboanga
del Sur, by virtue of the power vested in me, by law, do hereby order that the Barangay Health Board (BHB)
be re-constituted.

Section 1.
COMPOSITION:
The Barangay Health Board (BHB) shall be composed of the following:

Section 2.
POWER AND FUNCTIONS:
The Barangay Health Board shall:

a.) Proposed to the Barangay Council, in accordance with the standards and criteria set by the Department
of Health (DOH). Set Annual Budgetary allocation for the operation and services in the Barangay.

b.) Serve as an advisory committee to the Barangay Council on health matters such as, but not limited to the
necessity for, and application of local appropriations for public health purposes;

c.) The Chairman will give proposal for the undertaking of programs, projects and support for the overall
health thrust of the National Government.

Section 3.
MEETINGS AND QUARUM:
a.) The Barangay Health Board shall meet at least once in every quarter or as often as maybe necessary.

b.) A majority of the members of the board shall constitute a quorum, but the chairman or the committee on
health must be present during meetings where budgetary proposals are being prepared or considered. The
affirmative votes of a majority of the members shall be necessary to approve such proposals.

Section 4.
COMPENSATION AND REMUNERATION:
The Chairman, committee on health and member of the Barangay Health Board shall perform their duties
as such without compensation or remuneration.

Section 5.
REPEALING CLAUSE:
All other order, issuances and memoranda issued inconsistently herewith are hereby repealed or modified
accordingly.

Section 6.
EFFECTIVITY:
This resolution shall take effect immediately.

NOW THEREFORE, in motion by Hon. Danilo A. Gaco, II and duly seconded by all council member
present.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of the resolution be furnished all agencies concerned for information.
Unanimously approved this 6th day of August, 2019 in their First (1st) Regular Session.
