Unexpected Closure of Jolly Rascals Service

Jolly Rascals will endeavour to provide a service for the hours and times that have
been contracted to work, however, very occasionally it may be necessary to close
the childminding service.

For example this may be as a result of illness or bereavement. If it is a minor

ailment, such as a cough or a cold Jolly Rascal will remain open. However, if the
illness is contagious, such as diarrhoea and sickness, then Jolly Rascals will close
until the infection can not be passed on to the children or their parents/guardians.
Jolly Rascals will try to provide as much notice as possible if services are to be
closed.

Other occasions when Jolly Rascals is unable to provide a service:

 Following emergency evacuation of the premises and are unable to re enter

the building (see Evacuation procedure)
 Loss of power to the setting
 Mains water turned off
 Heating broken
 Flooding
 Medical emergency
 Death within the family
 CSSIW have requested the setting to close

Jolly Rascals will advise parents as soon as possible if service is unable to be

provided.

Jolly Rascals will work with parents and, if possible, find temporary emergency
childcare until Jolly Rascals can offer a normal service.

If unable to provide a service Jolly Rascals will not charge for any days it is closed.
