You are a tester. In this project you must test the test cases within 48 hours of
receiving them. The project is in a critical phase. At this juncture, you receive
the test cases one day late from the developer, Eashwar. This has set you back by
one day. Write a mail to your manager Hareesh, giving him a heads up that the
testing will be delayed by one day because of this.
Catch: The developer involved is your friend. You don't want to seem like you are
blaming him in the mail.

Scenario 2: Requesting help.
Client: FLS Airlines
Project: Creating an iOS app
You are working from home using your personal PC. You have spent the last three
days, working on the UI of an app. Today, your PC is formatted by your brother, and
all your files are lost. Thankfully, you have taken a backup in the office server.
Write a mail to Kritiga, a database admin, to help you find the backup files.
Challenge: This is the first time you are mailing Kritiga.

Scenario 3: To reschedule the meeting.
Project Overview: Optimization of the Gaming App
You are working on the 'Game of Thorns' project and a meeting has been scheduled
with the project manager on a certain date. The meeting is about sharing the
present status of the project and proposing new ideas for better functioning.
Suddenly an urgent task comes up and you can't be available for the meeting. Write
an email to the project Manager keeping your team in Cc, informing them about the
unavoidable circumstance and requesting to reschedule the meeting.
Challenge: You need to discuss important modifications with the team & hence you
need to be in the meeting rather than letting it happen without you.

Scenario 4: Requesting a testimonial for a completed project
Client: Full HP Healthcare
You were working on a Health insurance project. After 1 year of development, the
project has been successfully delivered on time. The success is celebrated by the
leaders of TCS. TCS website team contacts you & asks for a testimonial, so that it
can be published on the website. Write an email to the client asking for
testimonials that you need for your company's website.
Challenge: You must update the database within next 4 hours

Scenario 5: Invitation for a session.
You are organizing a 2-hour webinar on Stress and Time Management. Send a mail to
your colleagues inviting them for the webinar along with the duration of the
session and a small description of the topic.
Mail should include:
• Purpose of the mail
• Session duration
• Relevance of the webinar topic in current scenario.
Challenge: The session requires them to clear their schedule having other tasks
involved.

Scenario 6: Crucial Times
You had been waiting for many months to attend a week-long certification programme
on a new programming tool. The organizers announced the dates at last. But
unfortunately, it fell on the busiest time of the quarter. You need to get
permission to attend the workshop from your manager, as it falls during workdays.
Draft an email to your boss asking for permission to attend the certification
programme. You are writing this mail 3 weeks before the workshop.
Challenges:
(1)It’s a very crucial time for the project in which you are working.
(2)The certification programme happens only once in a year.
