Proudly South African, NUTRIWELL’s mission is to improve people’s health
and wellbeing. The company was established in response to the vital need
for affordable, convenient, nutritional food products to address the high
degree of malnutrition prevalent in poor households and amongst the elderly,
those affected by the malaise of HIV/AIDS,TB and other chronic illnesses,
as well as Foetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). NUTRIWELL has formulated and
developed a range of nutritional, fortified, dried, powdered food products
in convenient packaging - instant porridge, soup, beverage and stew.
Scientifically formulated specifically for NUTRIWELL by a food technologist
and pharmacist, NUTRIWELL’s innovative products have been researched
and developed by a team of pharmacists and doctors headed by one of
South Africa’s best known and most experienced food scientists with a BSc
(Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Leeds and an MSc in
Food Science from the University of Natal. With 35 years experience, he is
registered as a professional food scientist with the South African Council for
Natural Scientific Professions and was a member of the inaugural class of
Certified Food Scientists approved by the USA Institute of Food Technologists.
He has also held the esteemed position of president of the South African
Association for Food Science & Technology (SAAFoST).
The very best nationally sourced, quality-tested ingredients are brought
together at the factory outside East London, in the Eastern Cape Province,
where they are blended and packaged by skilled staff using state-of-the-art,
hi-tech equipment.
NUTRIWELL’s strong logistical support structure and national distribution
network assures timeous delivery of products to distribution depots
throughout Africa.

To protect their exceptional quality the powered

food products - soup, beverage, porridge and stew,
are individually and hygienically packaged in
durable, heat-sealed bags, ensuring that they
remain fresh and are well protected during
transit from the packaging-line to the customer.
For added protection and transportation each
of the four NUTRIWELL products are placed
into a reinforced, NUTRIWELL branded box
designed not only to ensure optimum product
safety and ease of distribution, but for
customer convenience.

COMPLEMENT
The growth of the NUTRIWELL operation is
answering upon job creation in a region of MANAGER
high unemployment and poverty. Currently,
at full production, the staff complement at
the factory is 20 previously disadvantaged
individuals, including 15 black women. Personal Assistant
Jobs require both management and operational
skills and, as training is part of the NUTRIWELL
employment philosophy, NUTRIWELL is adv- SALES MANAGER

community, ensuring that all employees are
well trained and skilled at operating according

Since its establishment in February 2014, NUTRIWELL has been appointed NUTRIWELL was subsequently awarded the 2015/2016/2017 contract,
to supply and distribute nutritional products to communities on behalf of with over 200 tons supplied and distributed to date, for the benefit of poor
