Activity 1:

In this activity, you are to see the actual application of globalization on the different aspects of daily life
such as politics, music, sports, film, celebrity, and disaster.

1. Answers the following questions:

a. Enumerate at least three of the most recent songs you have listened. Where did they
originated? Identify the nationality of the writer and /or artist for each music?
The three of the most recent songs I’ve listened were:
 Vibe With Me- originated from the Philippines and was being performed by Jun
Matthew Brecio, better known as Matthias, a Filipino rapper who was popularity
known because of his song “Catriona”.
 September 16- originated from Atlanta, Georgia and was being written and performed
by Russell James Vitale, better known by his stage name Russ, an American rapper,
singer, songwriter, author and record producer.
 MAPA- originated from the Philippines and the song was written by the band’s leader
Pablo, who also co- produced the song, together with Jay Durias of South Border and
by Simon Servida, who also serves as the personnel behind the band’s previous
single. The song was released between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day as a tribute to
all parents.

b. What gadgets or devices do you usually use to listened to music?

The gadgets or devices that I usually use to listened to music were phones and radio but
mostly I used my phone with my headphones especially when I’m not at home.
c. When were these gadgets or devices made? Where is the company based?
My phone is OPPO it’s an electronics manufacturer based in Guangdong, China. Known
for its smartphones, the company also makes MP3 players, portable media players, LCD-TVs,
and DVD/Blu-ray players. It was registered in China in 2001 and launched in 2004.
d. How did you access these music? Did you purchase them online or listened to them
through YouTube, Spotify, and other music channels?
I access these music offline from my sister who share these. And sometimes I also listen
to it through YouTube.

globalization? How would you define globalization?

3. What metaphors are you going to use in order to improve your own definition of
globalization? Enumerate at least three and explain one of them?

 Globalization is a rollercoaster it drives every nation to go up and down.

 Globalization is like wind blows it continuously blowing and every nation
that it passes through are effected positively or negatively.
 Globalization is a internet it connects people and technology together for
faster transactions. And we know that connections is one of the factors that
contribute to a country success, and it also aids all countries in obtaining the
resources they require. There will be no Globalization without
communication with other countries. One of the foundations that people
needs in order to raise their country is communication.
