For end users, the UI is intuitive and they'll find their way around. That said, you likely made a
big investment to go with Workday, and you only have one chance to make a first impression
so ... yes! Prep content! Plan the rollout to be seamless, manage the message, and offer your
employees job aids where relevant. While many will figure it out, you'd be surprised how many
want and need a guide stating the obvious.
Goes without saying anyone administering or configuring the product should go to formal
training.

Which videos are you referring to? The Workday adoption toolkit? That is generally a good
starting point but some modifications may be needed for your specific set up.
In general the functions that are exposed to end users are fairly intuitive and don't need much
training.
Key things to do: If you have mobile deployed you can make a one click install link for Android
or iPhone this is huge to avoid installation problems.
Training for managers is usually more complicated and you should invest in their training
especially depending on how heavily you use manager self service.
Workday now also has guided tours. Basically a built in question mark that can walk people
through things on screen. These can be highly effective and are not too much effort to set up.

Thank you both for your feedback. We are using the adoption toolkit. We are also looking at
various flavors of help text and guided tours.
Guy5145, in what ways was the adoption toolkit insufficient to prepare managers for their
workstreams?

Hi! I noticed there isn't much thread on Workday Pro Financial Management.. I will be taking
my certification in a few months and I wonder if anyone has any tips, advice or materials
useful for the paper?

Have a bit of a difficult issue that I’m trying to resolve before year end. We had been opening
requisitions for hire for specific offices and then hiring people for that office that live in a
different province e.g. opening a req for our NB office and hiring someone in ON. The thing
now is that these employees were being taxed as if they were living in the province in which
they were hired and not the province in which they live. I’ve been experimenting with on-
demand/manual payments to adjust their YTD payments but not sure what the best approach
is.

Technical user
Hi! :)
We had s few issues in regards to report scheduler delivery or alert execution in case if the
object owner is being transferred out, terminated, or loses the necessary security accesses,
therefore the idea of creating a technical user came to mind.
Do you have one? Would appreciate any tips on this one, as we need to share both domains
and process policies to be able to get the data and execute them properly.
At the moment, we are thinking to create an Integration System User, create a security group
for him and share the accesses.
Thank you in advance! :)

When a candidate is copied into a second job requisition and then moved ready
to hire, what happens to their initial application in the original job requisition?
Does it automatically decline them?
Sorry for asking so many questions, tldr: boss is out and Im taking over Workday duties
temporarily.

Client needs to bring in prepaid invokes that are already paid but have amortization schedules
remaining.
Don’t think we can bring them in as paid status. I guess we can pay them using a dummy bank
account and reverse the entries but is there an easier way?
