L6 Pitch Video Guide
L6 Pitch Video Guide
The video should succinctly communicate your ideas and showcase your vision for the project.
The content should be engaging and informative, showcasing the projects unique selling points,
visual style and intended impact to potential investors. You will demonstrate your ability to create
promotional materials to sell the project to potential investors. Investors in this context may be
locations owners, cast and crew that are investing time into your project or financial investors that
might back your project and build you a budget through a crowdfunding campaign. The video can
be used as part of a Kickstarter or IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign to raise an actual budget to
support your project.
Duration:
Your pitch video must not exceed 3 minutes in duration.
Style:
You are filmmakers and your pitch video will be representative of your creative and technical
competence.
You should approach putting this pitch video together as you would for any short non-fiction
film.
You should consider how you will use creative images and sound to sell your project to
investors and not simply deliver a talking head to camera.
You can combine test footage, archive, concept art, stock images/video, music, sound design,
voice over, interviews etc.
We are looking for the style and the content of your pitch video to effectively engaging the
audience and ultimately convince more people to invest in your project.
