PERFORMANCE & PAY REVIEW’S

You will get 3 ‘performance reviews’ to help plan your training in your
first year with us, and can receive a pay rise at your annual review in
September for your hard work.

 SERVICE AWARDS

We recognise our employees who

stay with us with Service Awards.

The amount you get depends on

how long you have been with us!
 EMPLOYEE DISCOUNTS

Employee Discounts provides you with discounts and offers at

over 1,600 national retailers.

After you’ve been with us for a month, you will also receive a
personalised Employee Discount Card offering discounts on
selected McDonald’s food.

 CHILDCARE VOUCHERS

If you are a parent or legal guardian, you may be entitled to receive childcare
vouchers. These vouchers are free from tax and National Insurance and are used
to help meet the costs of childcare such as childminders, nurseries, play
schemes and after school clubs.

They will send you an application form to fill out – it’s as easy as that!
 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

The Employee of the Month programme recognises a

winner every month in each restaurant.

Each winner will receive a personalised gift box and

be recognised in the restaurant as the top performer!
 EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER

The Employee of the Quarter programme

recognises a winner every Quarter in each
restaurant.

The winner from your store will receive a £25

electronic gift voucher that can be spent at a
number of online retailers.
 PRIVATE HEALTH CARE

Once you have completed 3 years’ continuous service, McDonald’s

provides you with free membership of a private medical care
scheme with AXA PPP Healthcare which is worth at least £950 per
year.

A membership pack describing the benefits and how to use them is

sent to you once you become eligible.
 PENSION

McDonald’s operates automatic enrolment into a Pension

Scheme for all eligible employees.

Details of the scheme with NEST and confirmation of

whether you are eligible will be emailed to you by our
automatic enrolment administrator.

 LIFE ASSURANCE

Once you have been with us for a year,

McDonald’s provides you (subject to
conditions) with free Life Assurance of
£4,000.

This increases to £8,000 after three

year’s service.
 FOOD ALLOWANCE

You will receive a meal allowance on

every shift you work. This benefit is
worth over £900 a year
(for a full time employee working
36 hours per week).
YOUR UNIFORM

Uniforms will be provided without cost to you

although you are responsible for it’s cleaning and
keeping it in good condition. If your uniform is no
longer presentable, due to age or normal wear, please
let your manager know so that it can be replaced.

If you are available to work two or more consecutive

shifts per week, your manager will make sure that you
have at least two uniforms. If you work full time, three
uniforms will be provided.
 HOLIDAY PAY

You will start to accumulate paid holiday entitlement as

soon as you join the company.

Holiday entitlement is 5 weeks and 3 days (28 days) per

complete year – fully paid!
