In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to create their

own/complete graphic organizers, fill-in-the-blanks, drawing/creating images and learn


about sentence structure and literacy organization.
Activity
The teacher will put the Language Learners on the whiteboard
so that the entire class is able to do this toolkit together.

The class will settle on a topic to fill out the first graphic
organizer. Different people should come up and write/draw in
the different sections. The students will then do their research if
need to settle on a conclusion. The students will continue the
organizer on the “we hypothesize” slide.

The teacher will skip to the slide to show that has the images of
Egypt. Students will get into groups of 4 to see which group can
correctly answer the image to the vocabulary word. One person
from which group will come to the board to drag the word to
the image. The teacher will announce which group was correct.

The next slide is to watch the inauguration poem. While still in


their groups, the students will do the work on the following slide
by one person from the group write the words and another
draw/find image corresponding to the words. Teachers should
watch to keep track that different student come to the board.

No longer in groups the students will do the ‘Word Chain slide’.


In order they will come up one-by one to add a word. Students
will have 11 seconds to think of a word. Time starts after the last
student sits down. Tell the student when their time begins, and
the students do have to write their own words. If they do not
have a word, then they are out. Game will continue till last
student is standing.

The last slide for the class is the ‘Connect Two slide’ and for this
activity students will be in their original groups. The groups will
have to decide which of the following are pairs and their
reasoning, then write it on the board.
