Content

Complete the sentence below:

For example: In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to
move and sort authors by time period and learn about literary genres.

Activity The activity is to go through the PowerPoint and follow the


activities. Before the activities start the teacher will explain
what the role of produce, consumers, and decomposers are.
Then explain what herbivore, carnivore, and omnivores are.
Lastly explain what predator and prey are. Then do recall with
the students. Show them pictures of each and ask them to tell
you what the picture is of. The activity is for review and for
students to ask questions and reinforce their knowledge. The
first activity is having the students think about where we get
energy to live and grow. Once they have thought about it, they
can volunteer to come up to the board and write their ideas.
Next there are pictures of different things at the bottom. The
students can come up and drag them to the correct column, The
columns are things that give us energy and things that don’t.
The next slide is having students put the food chain in the

correct order. They can volunteer to come and drag the item in
the correct box. That last slide is the food chain game. It this
time I will have each student create their own food chain.
