LESSON TITLE:

A. Filipino Nationalism

LESSON OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Identify the factors that caused for the delayed development of Filipino
nationalism.
2. Identify the factors that led to the rise of Filipino nationalism.
3. To appreciate the importance of nationalism and how it affects one’s
freedom and identity.

TIME FRAME: 3 hours

INTRODUCTION/ OVERVIEW:

This topic gives emphases on the awakening and development of Filipino


Nationalism in the 19th century. It discusses the factors that caused for its delayed
development and the catalysts which leads to its development. This part of the lesson
also discusses the characteristics of Filipino nationalism.
