Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College
Ramnarain Ruia College of Arts & Science is a premier educational institution in
the country which has been contributing to human progress by molding brilliant,
creative, committed and caring students who are making their alma mater proud in
various walks of life in different corners of the world.
The Government of India through its Deen Dayal Upadhyay Centres for Knowledge
Acquisition and Upgradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood, has established
KAUSHAL Centers with specific focus on vocational education. These KAUSHAL
centers have been established to address the significant skill-gap that exists between
the demands of the industry and the supply by the educational institutions. Ramnarain
Ruia College with almost eight decades of experience in higher education and training
and with the strong industry-academia linkages it has developed as a direct outcome of
its research in humanities and sciences was the first college in the city of Mumbai to be
granted permission by UGC to start a KAUSHAL Centre in August 2015.
At the DDU KAUSHAL Kendra, Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College students are
trained to develop hands-on skills that will significantly boost their industrial acceptability
and employability.
ABOUT WORLD TOURISM DAY
World Tourism Day (WTD) is held annually on 27 September. Its purpose is
to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism
and its social, cultural, political and economic value. The event seeks to address global
challenges outlined in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and
to highlight the contribution the tourism sector can make in reaching these goals
Tourism is one of the leading industries nowadays, where people’s travel needs will
never stop for any reason. For medical purpose, education purpose, business purpose
etc people travel from one place to another as there is need to travel and to fulfill those
travel needs there were many companies that have started working for different tourism
services like airline, ticketing, local transport and visa services. There are many state
board and country boards works to promote the country or state to attract more number
of people and so that government strategies for developing infrastructure and
maintaining beauty of the state works simultaneously.
To maintain such broad connections and to fulfill the travel needs tourism is offering
jobs right from driver to air hostess. It includes cruises, airline, cab services, visa
services,tour managers, guides and so on.
Tourism is a major source of employment because of its labour-intensive nature and
the significant multiplier effect on employment in related sectors. It is estimated
that one job in the core tourism sector creates about one-and-a-half additional or
indirect jobs in the tourism- related economy.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Our main objective was to create a benchmark via this event for our competitors.
Also keeping a big picture of that event and working for it.
Planning for the event to keep it’ in terms of ‘specific’.
Our event should be satisfying to all our Guest and speaker and Participants.
Trying to give all the practical knowledge about Tourism and travel industry and
making them more interesting and curious about it.

This team is assigned to handle all the technical part which is regarding for the
event.
To promote our event they all have to post the images as per the planning
strategies.
Completely handling and dealing with the social Media.
Designing for letters , flyers , pamphlet.

Team Infar’s also main role was working on the day of event.
Taking care of the whole infra of that venue.
Cleaning the venue before the event and after the event.
Doing recce of the venue, making banners.
Arranging all the posters , banners and standees on their right place.
Team Security
Team PR
Team PR has to work 3 months ago only for finding the participants to join the
event.
Also to invitation the guest and speakers work was also assigned to PR.
Visiting lot of colleges and inviting them for the event.
On the day of event guiding to the participants by seating at registration desk.
Team Marketing
One of the important and center of the attraction team among all teams.
Basically marketing is the team who has to deal with the Financial process.
Marketing team’s work also get started 4 months ago before the event.
It needs lot of co-ordination and meetings to discuss on the Sponsor’s.
You have to approach to your sponsors to supporting your event on financial
bases.
Once the sponsorship has got done then you have to do follow up with them.
Such as giving them the acknowledgement letter, Thank you letter, Invitation
letter and also attaching some highlights of your event as a proof.
Each and every member has assigned for the same work.
For this team there are certain time limits were you have to bring sponsorship
before the time which is given to you.
CHALLENGES
Handling the event was a biggest task for all of us
On the day event If any small thing is not happening as per the planning.
More then planning implementation / executing the plan was main challenging.
Specially for marketing dealing with the sponsors was the biggest task.
For Hospitality dealing with the suppliers and waiting back after the event and
