Project

TITLE: PHOTOCATALYTIC ADVANCED OXIDATION PROCESS (AOP) FOR WASTE WATER

TREATMENT
Duration- 12 months

In this project we use TiO2/ H 2 O2 / UV light for the purification of waste water. Ti O2 is more
effective photocatalyst for degradation of organic pollutant. But, under UV light and H 2 O2
increasing the oxidation strength 3.28 ev. So, higher hydroxyl radicals (OH•) generated by
combined effect of hydroxyl radical and catalytic oxidation. Break down all microorganism
and organic pollutants under UV light. AS hydroxyl radical are most powerful oxidizing agent
and due to presence of H 2 O2 and UV no sludge production is occurred with chemical and
biological process.
