TETRAVET
(Oxytetracycline)

COMPOSITION Withdrawal period.


Injection Tetravet Inj.: Meat - 15 days, Milk – 2 days
Tetravet Inj.: Each ml contains Oxytetracycline 50 mg. Tetravet-100: Meat - 15 days, Milk – 2.5 days
Tetravet-100: Each ml contains Oxytetracycline USP 100 Tetravet LA: Meat - 28 days, Milk – 7 days
mg. Tetravet Bolus: Meat - 7 days, Milk – 0 days
Tetravet LA: Each ml contains Oxytetracycline USP 200 Tetravet WSP: Meat - 7 days, egg – 1 day.
mg. Tetravet-200 WSP: Meat - 7 days, egg – 1 day.
Bolus
Tetravet: Each bolus contains Oxytetracycline BP 500 mg. STORAGE
WSP Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light.
Tetravet WSP: Each g contains Oxytetracycline BP 500 mg. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Tetravet-200 WSP: Each g contains Oxytetracycline BP 200
mg. SUPPLY
Tetravet Inj.: 10x10 ml.
DESCRIPTION Tetravet-100: 10 ml & 100 ml.
Oxytetracycline (Tetravet) is a broad spectrum antibiotic Tetravet LA: 10 ml.
highly active against a wide range of gram-positive and Tetravet Bolus: 5x4’s in each box.
gram-negative bacteria. It is also indicated against Tetravet WSP: 100 g.
protozoal, rickettsia & chlamydia. Tetravet-200 WSP: 100 g & 1 kwg.

INDICATION
Livestock
Digestive Tract infection: Enteritis, diarrhoea etc.
Respiratory tract infection: Pneumonia, bronchitis,
mycoplasmosis etc.
Urogenital tract infection: Metritis, retained placenta etc.
Skin infection: Dermatophilosis, naval ill etc.
Protozoal infection: Theileriosis, babesiosis,
anaplasmosis etc.
Others: Mastitis, abscess, actinobacillosis, diphtheria,
haemorrhagic septaecemia, keratoconjunctivitis, arthritis,
malignant edema, black leg etc.
Bloat: To reduce the incident of bloat.
Viral infection: To prevent secondary bacterial infections
followed by viral infections (FMD, Ephemeral fever, PPR).

Poultry :
For the prevention and treatment of colibacillosis,
salmonellosis, infectiou coryza, fowl cholera, necrotic
enteritis, pneumonia, chronic respiratory diseases,
mycoplasmosis, enteritis, diarrhoea, arthritis and
secondary bacterials infections followed by viral infections
such as ranikheth, gumboro, bronchitis etc.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION


Injection
Tetravet Inj.: 2 ml/10 kg body weight IM/SC daily for 3-5
days.
Tetravet-100: 1 ml/10-20 kg body weight IM/SC/IV daily for
3-5 days.
Tetravet LA: 1 ml/10 kg body weight IM single dose.
Bolus
Tetravet: Cattle/Buffalo: 1 bolus/25 kg body weight,
Goat/sheep: 1 bolus/20 kg body weight, Horse: 1 bolus/75
kg body weight. Treatment should be continued until
recovery.
WSP
Tetravet WSP: Poultry: 1 g/2.5 L drinking water for 3-7 days.
Tetravet-200 WSP: Poultry: 1 g/ L drinking water for 3-7
days.
OR AS ADVISED BY THE VETERINARY PHYSICIAN.

CONTRAINDICATION
Animals hypersensitive to oxytetracycline.

Use in pregnant animal


Tetravet should not be used in pregnant animals
